I can empathize very easily as we have had to put down three family dogs in the past five years. Each of them lived over 13 years and brought much love, happiness, companionship, and laughter. However, it was so difficult to let each one go. One is never ready.....May your memories comfort you,
Greta

Subject: i lost my bestest buddy

i had to have prancer put down today. i knew she had
cancer in her leg and it could not be gotten rid of.
the vet and i were waiting on her to start limping,
which she never did. she obviously had it inside too.
she started to thouw up, could not eat or dring water
and keep it down. obviouly was in pain too. she got so
  sick so fast.

i'll probably waste away as she always told me when it
was time to eat and told us when it was time to go to
bed. i'll have to get used to using a clock again. she
was my buddy. i miss her already.
