Well, you can copy the files using nero or such a program, but the real 
pain about that is these programs change everything you write to cd as 
read only, so when you copy them back, you would have to change the 
attributes.  Two other options come to mind, if you are not going to keep 
the old computer, you could put both drives in the new one.  If you want 
to keep both machines, consider networking them or using direct cable 
connection, think that is still in xp, not shure.
Not sure what to tell you, depends on how much data and so forth.
