dipole can be made of many different kinds of wire from light wire that's
hard to see to heavier wire which will stand up to more and some like the
G5RV will get you out on most bands if you have the room, I have mine all
over the yard and when I go on vacation I have a yoyo antenna I use which I
run all over the place as well and that all you can really see is the yoyo
portions of them. that's more of a portable antenna though, the G5RV and
similar antenna, van Gordon makes a few, and others, are probably the best
way to go as far as not being noticed. Verticals are nice but pick up more
noise and can generate more RFI.

Subject: Antenna Question
Hi All,
Well, I've written to this list in the past discussing vertical antennas.
Now I'm beginning to try to make a determination as to which direction I
want to go and thought I'd ask for opinions and advice from those of you who
have been there.
Up to this point, I've considered nothing except a vertical antenna.
However, I wanted to see if perhaps there is an equally good solution that I
have overlooked.
I have two goals I want to achieve. The first, of course, is maximum
coverage on all bands. The second, and most difficult to obtain, is to have
an antenna that is as inconspicuous as possible since I'm located in the
middle of a new subdivision.
I will appreciate all thought and ideas on the subject. What do most people
do in similar circumstances?
