I do not really need SLI, but I see a couple of motherboards with good reviews that feature it. These are my questions.
1. If I buy such a board, can I operate with only one video card?
2. If I can use the board with one video card, are there any disadvantages to using this board with one care, rather than getting a board without SLI?

Thanks
