awww, you were lucky, my first radio my father told me to come up with half
the money after he found out how much they cost so I put all my CB stuff in
3 boxes and sold all 3 of them for decent money and got that half for my
first HT.

That is how i convinced my parents to buy me my first...er, radio when i was
