Hi Kristina,
I recommend getting nuts that are "raw" and haven't been heated/salted,
etc. Organic is a big plus. I buy many different kinds both for me and
for my parrot - macadamias, brazils, cashews, filberts, mulocan (sp?),
pine (not sure if this is a "seed" but it's high in fat and seems OK)
and pistachios. I've had no problems with inflammation with any of
these these. I do notice tendencies to inflammation in roasted and/or
salted nuts so I stay away from those. I love walnuts and almonds but
can't seem to get my parrot to eat them. There may be something in them
he doesn't want to eat - he's very "instincto" in his approach.
Regards,
