Dynavox's are great, I don't know if they are available in Japan though.
They create speak for the child so that people can hear a "voice" at least.
Are you saying a psychotherapist is deciding on the life-span of the child
or do you mean where the child will live and what the child's ability is?

Your messages are getting through loud and clear.
My best friend at school used an alphabet board and a head pointer, although
I think there are a lot more technological aids now, such as speaking
computers with touch screens.
