Somebody was bitching earlier about 19th c fabrication in wood of classically-derived stone details. It suddenly occurred to me that the Greek temple details were essentially stone representations of wooden joinery details. So we've been copying stuff from the beginning. Seems to me the difference is the quality of the materials and workmanship.
And aluminum siding and dryvit are shit.
Just heard a commercial on the radio for some Monty Python show "Spamelot" on Broadway. Or was it a fake?
