Danny,

Unfortunately, it turns out that manufacturers make their phones for 
specific providers, as reflected by the model numbers.  So, for 
example, the VX4500 is made for Verizon.  If you could find an LG 
CX4500, that would be LG's phone for Cingular.  I know all about the 
joys and benefits of competition, but things would have been a lot 
easier if someone had imposed standards for cell phones and their 
providers right at the beginning.
