windows 98 will use more than that it just on some computers, won't see more
than that, like my radio desk computer has 192 but only says 128, but if you
check the resources it will use all of it if I push it. my last desktop had
windows 98 SE and had 256 Megs and saw and used it all. I won't say what I
have now  lol.

Tom I have been told by people that knows a lot more than I do, that 98 will
not use more than 128 of memory.  So putting more memory in the computer
might help no matter how much you put in it.
I would think that the sound card is the problem that you are having.
