that's what I use on my radio desk computer and it's only  a 400 MHz Celeron
and it works fine. Sound card said it needed at least 500 MHz but I have no
problem. You're over that so it should work for you easy.

I have something called an MP3 Sound-blaster USB device here that I once
used with an old laptop that had a broken head-phone jack.

The 566 ham shack computer does have a USB port.
