Hi Don,
It seems that the repeater has a receiver that plugs into the antenna
jack on the radio, so I suppose the repeater could be operating on
just about any frequency. Maybe the "receiver" part of the repeater
acts like those old UHF to VHF converters they used to use back in
the late '50s when many sets only received channels 2 through 13.
