all HF radios have that setup actually, Icom combines them back about at the
plug, but they all have 2 leads for each, I don't know why, I always thought
it was for current, the connectors can't handle the full 20 amps on 1 set of
pins but I might be wrong.

ah, i always wondered why my ts570 had double leads on the power
plug...guess that is to run 2 separate power supplies? although im not sure
why one would run double 12 amp supplies when a single 23 or 25 amp works
just fine.
Guess you could run dual batteries this way too?
