There should be a twisted pair of wires running from the back of the light
to a connector on the motherboard. Perhaps you did not see it, and did not
connect it? At the end of the wires is a little plastic (male?) connector
that plugs into a pair of stiff wires (female connector) on the motherboard.
With the motherboards that I have worked with (most recently Asus), there is
a row of connectors that connect with those on the case for power, reset,
disk drive power, power on, speaker, etc.
