Good evening Jim.
I have recently had to do this type of change on my computer as well. You
will need to go into your bios to change the 'location' that the system
looks first, for the boot drive. Depending on your mother board/bios you
would need to direct your system as to were to look, i.e. cmos settings or
advanced bios settings. If you have your motherboard manual, I would expect
it would be able to tell you specifically where to find those settings on
your particular system.
I hope that helps you,
Kathleen La Valley

Subject: [PCBUILD] Hard Drive Boot
Recently I installed a 300gb SATA HD in my Intel 850 MB system, and
installed a fresh copy of MS XP SP2 on it.. I had left the original 60GB
boot drive C in place. Now I must have the 60GB drive in place, and cannot
have a third rive installed because the boot sequence, which gives a choice
of 4 OS to boot from, is on it. How can I haave the 300gb drive be the only
drive and boot from it? (of course I could reinstall the OS I know).
