Rockbox will not work with the IPOD.  it works with some Archos and 
Iriver players.  The only model of player that it currently sold new 
that will work with Rockbox is the iriver h340.  To find out more

  BTW  independent living Aids will be selling a new talking MP3 
player-recorder from Switzerland called the Milestone 311.  It has 
256 MB of RAM onboard, but will take an SD card up to 2 GB.  It will 
cost $369 plus $17 for shipping, plus sales tax in some states.
