I've got a switching power supply that won't get it any noise.

I echo Pat's observations./ WE had one at University
hospital in NEW oRleans, it aws our lifeline out during
Katrina. IT's receiver is great!!! WIth direct keypad
entry etc. I found I wasn't that concerned about the speech
which they didn't have installed.
Btw if you get the 746 pro stay with a conventional power
supply . I found that receiver performed much better
downtown NEw ORleans even with all the qrm if I was using
battery power or anything but that lousy switching supply.
I've never met a switc hing supply for radio use that didn't
suck btw. TOo much noise!!!

I think I've got a braille cheat sheet I started working on
for the 746. IF you decide to get one and are braille
literate and would find it helpful let me know.
