i like XM. i haven't had any problems with their web site, and if
you are a subscriber, yu can also listen to 75 of their channels via
the web site on your PC. Subscribers also receive a weekly
newsletter that gives many links to info about special
programing. If you like baseball, XM carries all the major leagues
games, as well as NASCAR. i have the Delphi MYFI portable receiver,
which comes with a Y patch cord that you can use to hook up to a
stereo system or powered speakers. It comes with 3 antennas, one for
home, one for the car, and a wearable antenna. You can even use it
as a kind of walkman, but it's a bit clutsy because the antenna
attaches with a cable, and would attach separately to your
body. They recommend that you wear the receiver on your belt, and to
clip the antenna to your shouldar to get maximum exposure. Using it
in this pedestrian mode gives variable results, as the signal can be
obscured by tall buildings, trees, or when riding inside a
vehicle. The car antenna comes with a magmount and even works well
inside the house if you attach it to a heavy metal object like a file
cabinet or even a Perkins Brailler.
