you'd be better off getting a portable or travel router from my experiences.
it can act as just a wireless access point but yet is cheaper and can also
fit other places too if you need it. I just got the portable wrt54gc for $40
not long ago, they make another one too that can work a little more
wirelessly all around but that one's a little more money, still a good thing
for what you're doing.
