the A g c on fast or slow can make somewhat of a difference on SSB.
It can sometimes mean the difference between 20DB and 30DB over S9 lol.
On the fast setting the S meter will offten increase byan S unit or so, or
with a very strong signal, by 10DB or so.
This is on the TS570DG though.
