The ts480 comes in two versions, 100 watts with an internal tuner,
and 200 watts with out.
All of it's menus talk, including the s-meter. It runs 160 through 6
meters. All modes. Can be run from a computer. It can be set-up to
run remotely through the internet and a computer. That's far beyond my skills.
If you get one, buy the speech board and one cw filter, because the
radio is great on CW.
I bought a 480, because that radio plus a two meter-440 rig, was
still a good bit cheaper than a ts-2000.
The remote head has all or the controls, and you can put it on the
coffee table, or on your chest as you lay on the couch and play radio
in comfort.
It also has DSP, and filtering down to 50HZ.
