AM is right, that should be that way, on SSB, that's low, a friend of mien
put a meter on a few radios I've had over the years and I can get 100 out of
most, the 570 with the tuner usually is about 85 or 90, a little lower with
normal talk but still not much less than 80 but my 940 and 450 we checked I
was seeing over 100 watts, unmodified on SSB 110 out of the 940 and the same
with the old 450. we checked the 440 as well and I know it was around 100
but I forget exactly now.

A friend of mine came over, and we decided to read the power output
levels on my ts480.
in fsk, we got 90 watts out.  On A.M. we got 25 watts out.
On ssb reading peaks we got 55 watts out.  Average power out was 40 watts.
What is a 100 watt radio supposed to give you
