I traced the source of my computer lockups to a failing video card. More
specifically, I found that the video memory was becoming unreliable at the
default memory clock speed. The card is a Radeon X600 XT based Gigabyte.
Model number is GV-RX60X128V. I have a utility (ATI Tools) that allows me to
lower the memory clock, but is there a way to set the default clock speed on
the card? I did a search on Google, but there are so many hits returned
without the specific info that I seek. I was hoping that some gamers among
you might be able to point me to a solution. I suspect it might involve
modifying the BIOS on the video card.
Thank you.
