Hi Carol,
You did not mention "how" you saved the e-mails but whatever method /
program it was changed the file extension so they are no longer Outlook
Express e-mails. Try changing the extension to ".eml", sans quotes, and
attempt to open them again.
If you "Save As..." from the File menu in Outlook Express, the default file
type is "Mail" with the .eml file extension.

Subject: Re: [PCBUILD] Cannot open documents
All of a sudden, when I try to open emails that I've saved to my hard drive,
(recent ones, but they're no longer in Outlook Express), I'm getting this
message:
"Windows cannot open this file:
File: confirmation-2.email"
It will open them in Notepad, but why won't it open Outlook Express and
display them in that format? Outlook Express is not even given as an option
in the list of 'open with' programs.
Is there something wrong with that file extension. I'm lost on this, for
some reason.
