Hello Sharon,
I know that this is only one short-term study, but do you suppose that
these researchers are suggesting that consuming not only fructose-
containing beverages, but also fruit itself would favour the development
of obesity?
I tend to use my own body as a laboratory. I do things to it and study the
results ;-)
On the Paleodiet I am eating a lot of fruit and losing weight steadily, so
maybe eating Paleolithically counteracts any negative effects of fructose.
Or maybe eating whole fruits has a different effect.
I will be fascinated to hear what the scientists on the list have to say
about the validity of this piece of research. And also how other
Paleodieters find the inclusion of fruit affects their weight.
