On the surface, the platinum has the nforce4 ultra chipset whereas the other
has the nforce4.

RE: memory, check with the manufacturer or the info might be listed on their
website.

Subject: [PCBUILD] MOTHERBOARD SELECTION AND CAMPATABLE MEMORY

Hi to all:
I have narrowed my search down to two motherboards.
MSI K8N Platinum and
MSI K8N NEO4-F
I would greatly apppreciate it if someone could explain to me the difference
between the two boards. They look the same to me.
I also need to select memory. There is something that I do not understand.
On the MSI Site they say that the motherboard supports 2.5 volt memory. How
do I make a determination whether the memory in question is 2.5?
