Then what's the point? Delaying (and even slowing) the effect of the
alcohol would seem to be particularly dangerous as there seems to be a
self-regulating mechanism in that the more drunk you get the harder it
gets to keep drinking and the more likely the body is going to reject
it. If delayed, it might then be easier to get lethally drunk. Can you
imagine if the butter really works at delaying the effects such that you
felt fine when you started to drive but as you are rolling along the
effects suddenly kicked in? Obviously you made it this far without
incident I assume so it must not be that bad an ides but still it seems
better to learn to just put down the glass than to chase a prophylactic
wad of butter.
