Hi Tom and the group. WHat problems are you havign with the F6a?  I have
programmed the GMRS/FRS radio frequencies with no probelm, and you can't
enter in the frequencies exactly down to a single KHz as you probably know
by now, but I have done it, and turned the tuning knob and I am on
frequency.  You can't transmit on these freqs without modifying the radio,
and you search for PL/DPLs the same way you do wtih repeaters on these
frequencies.
