I have the diamond X200A and can pretty much cover most of this area
simplex, I'm in a hole so it's tough but I've talked 30 miles with it, and
if I wasn't in a hole I know I could better that, I'm high but in a hole in
the highest part of the city if that makes sense and I get out very well
with it and it hears a lot, I'd be afraid to put anything with more gain up
there.

Kevin, I have one of those Diamond 500 17 foot ants and like you say, there
a very good ant.  I have worked as much as 80 miles simplex on mine at
