When I started my computer today, it started whining. I opened the case, and the only place that I can get any change in the noise is when I push on the power supply. This makes only a slight difference in the pitch of the whine. Is it possible that my power supply is causing all my trouble, and do you think it is worth it to try a new one. I am pretty sure that the noise was not coming from any of the 3 fans outside the power supply. By the way, I restarted the computer, and the whine has stopped. I am getting more confused by the day!
