It's 2 meters only, 2 power settings, 25 watts and 60, but you can request
it be turned down and they'll do it, due to what I need a real mobile for
around here I left it alone. I paid $154 for it on sale at HRO, price might
be back up $10 now but really, I'm putting it in the family car since my
IC-27H is having problems with the encoder after all these years of being
banged around so I bought this Kenwood to replace it and I'm glad so far.
It's a solid radio. It has a real commercial feel to it and sounds great on
receive with the speaker on the front. I read the reviews on eham.net and
figured it was just hype or something but now that I have one, the reviews
can't do the sound justice, it's that good. Originally I was looking at the
ICV8000 but then a lot of them around here started breaking down, in fact
all of the ones that use them regularly and the Kenwood's are still going
and the owners love them. I programmed 47 memory channels with no software
or anything, by myself and had no problem. I have a text version of the
manual I'll clean up and have available when I get a chance, might be over
the weekend I'll clean it up and send it to icanworkthisthing.com
BTW, I see your call is wz0k, I know Wz1k he belongs to the club I'm now
president of.
