In my previous post, I mentioned the IC70 as being the overseas model of the
ic718, well I got the nomenclature wrong! Sorry about that!!

(The _IC78_) is the overseas version of the ic718, fine radio, same case and
basic innerds, but that radio, the ic78 __________________has not_________
the necessary socket for the ut102 voice chip, and I __________Very
seriously doubt that it could be modified to accept one.!  But The 718 is a
Tremendously blind friendly, and much more than an entry level HF radio.
