I guess it's just that my recent experiences with Rat Shack
haven't been very good, but I may be over-generalizing here.
At any rate, I'll be very interested to see how folks like this
meter if they manage to get their hands on one.

Generally, Radio Shack is only a reseller for most products--they
do very
little of their own manufacturing anymore, and most of the stuff
they carry
is made by other brands, even if they have their name on it. For
example,
all of the shortwave gear that are generally either Grundig or
Sangean.
In summary, I don't think you can make any generalizations about
their
quality, because it really depends upon who made it.
