I hear that their are times where 3 DB does make a difference, but
since the cost of the radio is over $100 more, and doubling the power
supply cost adds another $100 or more, why not put that money towards
a real amp if that is what you want.  800 watts is 9 DB, and you can
find that for around $300.
That's $33 per DB rather than $75 per DB, and a lot more of them to boot.
