Hi Ryan;

Well, two pieces of equipment would be very helpful for you.

The first, which you already have is a T90A, it will let you listen to all
the area local repeaters.

The second, is a good general coverage receiver.

I would recommend a Grundig YB400PE.

This is a good receiver for starting out because it will let you assign
frequencies in memory without too much trouble.

I found three helpful tools.
A good FM receiver such as the T90A and the YB400PE.

The third is just plain listening.

All of us would be more than willing to assist you.
