Thank you so much to all who responded to me. When reading responses please note that some reflect suggestions by those who say they are highly sensitive.

Avoid eating in restaurants altogether. (5)
Avoid all processed foods. (4)
Be extra vigilant in reading labels and understanding ingredients. Wheat often contained in food items you would not expect; e.g. confectioner's sugar, chips, some yogurts. (4)
No oats! (3)
Beware of cross-contamination (toasters, condiment jars, etc,) used by other family members and when eating in other people's homes/use separate pots and pans. (3)
It may take up to 3 years for serum levels to decrease-per medical article in "Gluten-Free Living." (2)
No yeast. (2)
Avoid buying items from open bins; cross-contamination from scoops.
Check lotions and make-up; things that come in contact with skin.
Re GF meds: Check directly with mnf. as MDs and pharmacists often wrong.
Check for any animal products in ingredients as animal may have eaten gluten grains to slaughter.
Check if alcohol or vinegars are initially distilled from gluten grains.
Do not kiss female friends/spouses if they use gluten containing make-up or if recently ate a gluten meal. Same advice re: kids after a gluten meal or snack.
No injected meats; e.g. ham, bacon, etc.
Temporarily go on a whole foods diet of plain meats, veggies, eggs and get retested.
Avoid French fries even if restaurants say they use a dedicated fryer since oils are filtered at end of day, not identified, and used indiscriminately on following days.
See www.celiac.com<http://www.celiac.com/> for excellent advice. (I agree!)
