These days, most of the options that were once controlled by jumpers on
the motherboard are now settings in the CMOS config.
While you may manage a little speedup in tweaking the memory timings,
256MB sounds definitely on the small side for XP. How fast is your hard
drive? If you can't increase the RAM, speeding virtual memory functions may
be your best alternative.
