Kristina - this reads like speculative day-dreaming by a zealot who is twisting a few specially
selected pieces of evidence to match their beliefs. A helpful "early warning sign" is the throw-away
use of the word TOXINS. Most references to toxins in terms of human diet come from people who
have no idea what they are writing about; it is a term they wheel out to explain anything
inexplicable in terms of their belief system. Ask the writer 'what toxin?' and for their references.
They won't know and they won't pursue (other than by quoting another zealot from within their
closed circle) as they are not psychologically inclined to seek information which might undermine
their beliefs. You'll also occasionally find that such zealots are 'weirdos' in other ways and have
difficulty maintaining long term relationships.

I would, however, like to know about the virus that afflicted Eliot Glick. That's consistent with
evolutionary medicine. There are many viruses today that have emerged since the Pleistocene,
evolving to occupy niches created by the domestication and unnaturally-confined living of animals
and human co-habitation with those animals. (H5N1 avian 'flu is a topical example.) Hence, there
may be viral risks which we take today when we eat meat, risks that were unknown in the
Pleistocene.
