Rhonda,

Financially they are doing ok at the moment and have money for the next
couple of months. Believe me. The prayers they know that come from echurch
is something they are very thankful for. By the way, George told Sandy and
I once that they called their pastor where they live and asked if there was
any way the church could help them financially. Not in a big way but in
whatever way was possible. The pastor came over to their house and told
them that he would have to look into their tithing and giving because they
didn't help anybody unless they were a tither. They were but they told him
to forget it. A few months later, George had 1700 dollars worth of building
repairs which had to be done to his house. The men who repaired it said it
was that way when the house was sold to George. Guess who sold George the
house? His former pastor. No, the pastor, when contacted, said he had no
responsibility to give George a dime for the repairs. The pastor owns a
real-estate office. He pastor's on the side the church George and his
family used to go to. I trust I won't be accused of pastor bashing now just
because I told the truth about one pastor in another state. No, I don't
believe all pastors are like this.

Phil.
