God is awake
at Midnight,
I am certain this is true,
For it is around this time that my fears come creeping through,
The what ifs drop by,
Followed by the what thens,
And that is when my worrying begins,
What can I do,
To make it through,
What can I say,
Is there an answer,
Is there a way,
the thoughts they multiply,
One becomes three,
Until I am surrounded,
and can't even see,
The tiniest hope or ray of light,
It just takes a whisper,
A thought of His name,
And though there are still problems,
It's not the same,they can't stay,,
With  His love and His  light,
They had hoped He would not hear,
And would be sleeping at midnight,
A tiny whisper,
Chases away the greatest fear,
And I fall asleep,Knowing, that God is still here.
