Hi;
Just for fun I was looking at prices at hro and the icom is about $500.00
more expensive. It would appear that in some cases kenwood seems to be
appealing to those looking for less expensive items and letting yaesu and
icom get the top dollar radios. It would be interesting to hear from some
ic746 users as to how comfortable they feel with the radio. True you can't
read the menus however, how often do many of those items need changing? The
icom also appeared to offer a free power supply which may partly make up for
the difference in cost.
