The registry is actually a set of files that is contained in the "Documents
and Settings" folder. However, you cannot simply copy the registry to a new
computer and expect things to work. There are many entries within the
registry that are specific to the particular hardware that is in the
original computer. Don't mess with the registry till you get more
comfortable with what it contains and learn how to deal with it. When I
first started to "play" with the registry, I destroyed my Windows
installation and had to reinstall from scratch! That was many years ago and
I do much better now;)

Can someone tell me where the registry is located. I want to use a second
computer to put Win2Kpro OS in with all the updates and some programs
before I install it in my main computer. Is it in the "C" drive or on the
mobo?
Thank you for your help. AL SMITH
