Thanks for the windom info.
Their are a number of things that don't make sence here, but we are
making progress.  Took the balon apart, and tightened and moved a few
things around.  I have to attach a piece of twinlead inside the
shack, because I had to get the line inside the house inside one
hole.  I wonder if a 1 foot long length of wrongly spaced feedline
can cause that big of a problem?  Anyway, I reversed the wires and
then reversed the twin lead at the balon termonals.  Surprize, it
tuned and acted differently, no idea why, but maybe the stuff is
touchy, I mean touchier than I realized.  I want to short the ends
and check the feed point with an ohm meter, just to feel easier about
it.  Thanks for the idea.  I have used the internal balon, but it is
more losey than the air core balon.
