Yes, that's the deel.  Very common with newer radios, found a lot of
articles on making changes in the 870 e-prom settings which are in
the service menus.
Things like When does the power back off for high SWR, what
temperature turns the fan on?  AGC vooltage?  and appearently lots more stuff.
