Well regarding an entirely different radio, on my dx398 I was using a
universal adapter for it and I noticed quite a disturbing ac hum. Finally I
managed to get someone to make me up a proper adapter for it. The hum
disappeared. That radio uses a 6 vote adapter.

Mine is good but I don't like the hum that I hear with it 6 inches away from
my head on my head board. Is that a flaw or are thay all that way? I often
run it on batteries just to avoid that.
