Hi Bob,
Is there a setting to configure the baud rate in the GPS receiver software?
Perhaps they just aren't communicating at the right speed.
I have a bluetooth GPS receiver for my PDA, and because the bluetooth
protocol for it uses a virtual serial port, I still have to configure the
baud rate (38400 in my case) in the software. What does the manual say?

Subject: [PCBUILD] serial port problem
I'm trying to run a GPS receiver off the serial port on my ASUS
P4P800-Deluxe. The device manager says the serial port is enabled and
working. The BIOS also says it's enabled. However the GPS software (Duleo)
says it can not find the receiver. How can I confirm my serial port is in
fact functional? Unfortunately I have no other serial devices to
substitute. I have a serial (9-pin) to PS/2 adaptor cable and a straight
serial cable (9-pin) to play with if that helps.
