After reading yesterday's post about the non-gf status of the new Mint Mocha
Chip Frappucino and the Java Chip one, I began to wonder about the Double
Chocolate Chip Frappucinos that my daughter always orders. So I called
Starbucks today and Alexandra in their Customer Relations department told me
that in fact, NONE of the chip-based Frappucinos are gf. I'm very surprised
that my daughter has never reacted to them. I do believe that I was told
that they were gf when I called about them last year, but I can assure you
that she'll be ordering her Frappucinos without chips from now on.
In addition, I was told that the Vanilla Bean powder that they use for the
Vanilla Bean Frappucinos is also NOT gf. You can substitute vanilla syrup,
however, which is gf -as are all their syrups. You can reach Starbucks
customer service at 1-800-23-LATTE if you have any further questions.
