Hi everyone in the Denver area!
Monica Poole, owner of Deby's Gluten Free Bakery and Deli is having a
free tortilla making class at the restaurant this Wednesday, February
1st at 6:30 p.m. There is no cost for the class. One great idea is to
go and enjoy a dinner, and stay for the class afterwards. Monica will
show us how to mix, roll, cut and cook the tortillas. The class is
hands-on. She lets participants roll the dough and cook it on her
portable griddle. It's lots of fun since of course there is tasting as
well. I went to the last one and let me tell you, the tortillas taste
like the wheat ones. They fold without breaking and hold hefty
fillings. Monica has tortillas for sale at her bakery, but they are
very popular and go fast! The class usually runs 45 minutes to an hour.
