Some electrical component has started to fail. It's probably a condenser.
It might be a tube, if this is a tube unit. The electronics should be
repairable. The least expensive way is to do it yourself. The parts would cost
between $0.30 to $5.00. The most expensive way would be to take it to an
electronics repair man in NYC. Would it be worth it? There may also be unrelated,
unrepairable problems with rubber items such as unreplacable deteriorated
rubber drive belts or drive wheels for the turntable.
