Although not a paleo gal, if I could chime in here for a minute....

A couple weeks ago I read an article in US News & World Report about the
concept of "volumeterics" (dopey word) and dieting/weight loss. Apparently,
there is quite a bit of research evidence indicating people tend to eat
just about the same _volume_ of food over and over again - regardless of
it's content. Your strategy of filling up on green veggies has quite a bit
of merit, according to them.
